I have been in practice for over 25 years. I am a Certified Holistic Health Care Practitioner (HHP) through the Association of Natural Health, a licensed Massage Therapist, and a Certified Computerized Electro-Dermal Stress Analysis (CEDSA) Technician. I graduated from The Scherer Institute of Natural Healing (now called Santa Fe School of Massage). I am a student of the Hakomi method of body-centered psychotherapy, which helps me fully integrate the body/mind connection into all aspects of my work and life, and supports me in staying open to and welcoming all parts of who we are and all parts of our healing process. My study and practice of Sheng Zhen Qigong, the Qigong of unconditional love, has taught me that healing begins in the heart. This form of Qigong, a moving meditation, opens the heart and calms the mind creating optimal energy flow in the body. Restoring the flow of Qi creates balance and health where physical, mental, emotional, and environmental stressors have blocked the harmonious flow of Qi.
I started Thrive because this is what I want in my own life. Health and longevity require excellent nutrition, exercise, fresh air, friends, community, a sense of spirit, and happiness. The better we feel, the better we want to feel, and the more energy we have to live full, happy lives.
Kate McMorrow, HHP, LMT
My practice is rooted in my understanding that true health and healing requires a holistic approach, attending to body, mind, spirit, and emotions together. My work is to inspire people to take a deeper look at all parts of their health: to pay attention, to attend to their needs, and nourish themselves. It's a straightforward task, but it's not easy. It takes knowing where to start and being inspired, encouraged, supported, and taught new experiences to really make the changes.
This is what I offer to you.
